its becoming so real

Well in 45 days we will be on a plan to Germany! i am getting more excited each day. The army did mess with us again by changing Brett's post but im thinking now that maybe that was Gods plan all along. Yes at the old post i knew someone AND Brett would NOT get deployed while we were there BUT at this new post he will get his jump status back so that a little bit extra money for us and i have already started talking to some wives over there so hoping to make some new friends. I am sure we will be able to go visit our friends in Hohenfels. The movers come next week and im kind of freaking out about it... lots to do in so little time! so im sure i will keep you all up to date although there is not that many of you! it helps me to "write" it all down!

Your Welcome America

So today is the day, the day the government might shut down and my husband, my FAMILY will not get paid. We live pay check to pay check as it is and now they want to make it harder on us. We are already on WIC and we qualify for food stamps (we are not on them yet but we qualify). The first sad thing is that we as a military family even qualify for these programs.... they should pay us enough to be self sufficient and they obviously don't. Now if the government cant get along and make a budget we have to pay (literally) for that.

My husband has been in the Army for 6 years now and has been to Iraq twice (total of 27 months) he missed the first year of his first child's life and he lost close friends. he learned to speak Arabic and was taut how to handle himself in a combat situation all for this country. To say thank you this country has threatened to take away part of his pay until further notice... well your welcome America! Your welcome for the freedom, your welcome for the safety, your welcome for the sacrifice!but YOUR not welcome to my pay check!

If i were in the military i would not be at work tomorrow (if this shut down happens) no one else is expected to work for free so why should my husband. I would not be upset or surprised if a lot of soldiers no show tomorrow and if the soldiers that are currently over seas just put down their weapons and say they are not fighting today. But i KNOW for the most part they wont becasue they are HERO'S they fight for our freedom and for our safety and they still will, without pay, becasue they know if they dont that puts THEIR families in danger.

They have the stress of fighting a war and staying in shape and keeping their moth shut, now our government is going to add the stress of wondering if their families are going to have dinner for the rest of the week and be able to pay their bills?

again,
YOUR WELCOME AMERICA!

paying for others actions

this is a vent!

I am so incredibly tired of my husband having to pay for other peoples actions! i know it happens a lot in the army, if one person messes up the whole unit has to pay and you know what ever but we as a family have been getting the run around about his orders to Germany. Like i said before we were supposed to be there in December and here it is April and we are still not there. Well we have orders for June 20th now but we have to be out of our apartment by May5th so that we can spend some time with family before we leave. Well anyway to get my youngest sons passport and to schedule our move we have to have printed copies of the orders but they wont release them to us until Brett goes to the briefing for his orders which he has already gone to when we had the orders for June 10th instead of the 20th. But becasue SOMEONE ELSE acedently deleted his orders in the transitions office he has to do everything else over again, but we really dont have time to do that! im just aggravated and again the Army better be glade im not the in-listed member.... becasue im not like my husband i cant just sit back and take the BS they dish!

orders

I know it has been a while since the last time i have posted on here so let me start off by giving you an update on our daily life basically. Jourdon is now 1 month old and Kaleb is 19months old. Kaleb is doing WAY better then i thought with the new baby in the house. He loves his brother and gives him kisses before bed every night. Kaleb loves helping any way he can, like taking Jourdon's dirty diaper to the trash and bringing me his clothes when i need them. So in other words daily life is good.

So about our "orders". we got orders for Germany and our original report date was December 10th 2010 well we had everything schedualed and then brett got flagged for an investigation. Now let me clear that up... he was flagged to testify in an investigation he was not under investigation but anyway so our report date was going to be moved to March 10th2011 but becasue i was due in mach they moved them to June 10th 2011. well his flag finally got lifted a little over a week ago so now we can start getting things ready again right? WRONG! we go to print off his orders and they are gone they have been canceled! Brett asked around and NO ONE could tell him why they had been canceled. So yesterday we got them back to Hohenfels Germany and out report date is now June 20th so i put in our 30 day notice yesterday! we are finally getting out of Fort Riley! today we are scheduling our move and all! we will get to spend about a month staying with family before we move and then we will fly over to Germany! i am Uber excited! now... back to filling out paper work! :)
